New Post

We just moved from Quebec city, Canada in the beginning of October. We are now back in Ft. Myers living out of my grammy's new house. It is sort of squished, but we are doing well. We have had several meetings with verbal commitments to take us on when they get the funds to support us. Right now, we are at South Shore B.C. in Riverview,FL and are having a great meeting. They have a great guest speaker here from Landmark Christian College, Bro. Scotty Hester. he gave an excellent message on "The Road of Life" talking about:

1. The Duration of Life.

2. The Donation of Life.

3. The Destination of Life.

In point number 2, he used an illustration about your investements in life. He used 2 candles, and he lit one and talked about how we have only one life....etc. He then took that candle and lit the other candle and said "A cndle doesn't lose anything by lighting another candle,
just like you don't lose anything when you invest your life in the life of others". I thought that was a neat little thought to think on throughout the day.

Please pray for us, that we will:

1. Get more meetings.
2. Receive additional support, so we can get to the field.

Thanks for Praying!

Finally,.... A new post!

It has been very busy in Quebec, anniversaries, b-days, picnics, and company all in the months of June and July. I will now show you some of the things that have been goin' on:

June 27:
I had my 14th b-day! I got a brand new suit from my Grammy. Thanks Grammy!
After church we went to Baton Rouge for lunch. I was the only one who was allowed for lobster! Yum, one of my favorites! I had a great time!

While Grammy was here, she taught me how to make one of my favorite meals, St. Thomian patties. It is a little pastry with some ground beef stuffed inside. They are soooo delicious! When Grammy left Quebec, I made them for Brenna's birthday.Brenna's 11th birthday was on July 6. We went to a park for lunch and had my patties to eat. Then Mom took Brenna ice-skating, at the local mall. She had a wonderful time on her birthday and can't wait for her next!On July 4th we had a picnic with two missionaries from the are, the Hambys and the Burdettes. We had hamburgers, wonderful sides, and lots of dessert. It was all wonderful! Mrs. Hamby made this American flag cake. And yes, it tastes as good as it looks!

Callie is 1 Month Old!

News, News, News, and more News

Trip to Nova Scotia:
My trip to Nova Scotia was great! I had so much fun! The conference had preaching, skits, games, a Creation seminar, and many other things. One night we went to a Field House and played soccer. I also enjoyed staying with the Eastwoods. They were great! We ate grilled hotdogs and hamburgers, went to a restaurant, played games (till late at night), and just had lots of fun.

New Baby:
On May 5th Callie Grace Gimenez, my new sister, came into the world. Today, June 5th, makes Callie one month old. She sleeps most of the time, either in someone's arms, in the cradle, or in the carseat. She is very cute and has very big eyes. Please pray for her because she has had a belly-ache for some time now.

Grandma's Visit:
Grandma (Sherry Willoughby) came to visit us for two weeks in the month of May. We showed her many of the best sights in Quebec City. We ate at lots of restaurants and went on walking trails. We ahd so much fun! Thanks for comin' Grandma! Miss You!

Gettin' ready today, movin' out on Friday!

On Friday I will be leaving for Nova Scotia. The Youth Director,at a church in Nova Scotia, invited me to attend their 2010 youth conference. We thought and prayed about it and we decided I could go. The neat ( and sort of scary) thing is that I will be flying alone, without my family! I will be leaving on Friday morning and will return on Monday morning. I will leave out of the Quebec airport and land in Montreal. At Montreal, I will change planes and fly to Nova Scotia. We have shopped for clothing (some of my needed clothing didn't fit) and found some amazing deals and jeans and dress shirts. I am not too nervous,..... I think my Mom is more nervous than I am! Please pray for me, that I will have safe travels and that the teens, that attend the conference, God will work in their hearts, including me!

Yard Work......Already!!!

The snow has all melted and our days as winter "hermits" are over. Our neighbors have come out of hibernation as well. (During the winter all, I mean all, the kids had disappeared, and let me say.... they weren't kidnapped!) People are all over the streets and yards in our neighborhood. People are raking, cutting, and pruning everything in their yards! So Mom and Dad thought us kids should join the "fun". ( I like yard work, but it is the first two days of spring!) So we labored from sun-up to sun-down as little slaves..... our arms ached, we couldn't walk another step......and then our task-masters stood and told us " Don't forget the flower beds!" (Okay, maybe it's a little exageration.) We let our pile of leaves from the fall sit through the winter,....now our hands are dyed yellow, orange, and brown!

Silas loves to sweep and vacuum, but I guess he's not much on raking.

And after all this work the girls played hop-scotch. I love the spring and can't wait for more outside play.

Some of My Favorite Preachers

Preachers are some of the most important people God uses. Preachers have been important in my life and I would like to share a couple of my favorites with you

My all-time favorite preacher is my Dad. My Dad preaches practical messages that you can take home and use. Dad works great with kids, teens, and all around. When my Dad preaches something, I can watch him go home and use it. I love my Dad!
Dr. Don Strange is the Pastor of Winkler Road Baptist Church in Ft. Myers, Florida. Pastor Strange is the pastor of our sending church as well. He is an excellent preacher and almost every church we go to has either heard of Pastor Strange or met him. Pastor Strange is a very good pastor in, not only preaching, but taking care of his appointed flock. If you are sick or are in the hospital, Pastor Strange will come and cheer you up. He will joke with you and sing a song called "Don't give up on the Brink of a Miracle".

Dr. Dave McCoy is the pastor of Peoples Baptist Church in McDonough, Geogia. He is a practical preacher and loves children. Pastor McCoy's church has one of the best choirs I have ever heard.

Dr. Scott Caudill is the pastor of Caanan Baptist Church in Covington, Georgia. When Pastor Caudill goes to a church normally he sings. Pastor Caudill is one of the best male singers I have ever heard! My favorite message that Dr.Caudill preaches is a sermon about grace.

Dr. Jim Brown is an evangelist and has been a big impact in my family's life. Dr. Jim Brown took a church to pastor in Carthage, Missouri. My family soon moved to Carthage so my Dad could be taught by Dr. Brown to preach and run a ministry. While there, I was saved and baptized in his church. Later, Dr.Brown moved to Hattiesburg, Mississippi to help Central Baptist Church. We followed Dr. Brown there to be on staff as Youth director.

Dr. Dan Carr is the pastor of Faith Baptist Church of Gulfport, Mississippi. I have downloaded over 7 messages of Pastor Carr onto my MP3 player and have listened to them constantly! Dr. Carr is one of the greatest practical preachers I have ever heard. If you would to get some of Dr. Carr's messages you can go to their website here:
Dr. Dan Carr messages. If you go to audio messages, at the top it will tell you how to download messages on to your computer.

These are just a few of my favorites. There are many, many more! Sometime I will post some more of my favorite preachers.

My Pages

Recently, I added some seperate pages to my blog. These pages are to the left of the posts. If you click on one you will be led to a seperate page. So far, I have made a "My Testimony" page and a "My Mission Field" page.

As well we have recently added two new bloggers to the family. Elisabeth and Brenna! Sometime in the near future, when you go to the section of my favorite blogs you will see a link to the girls blog. "A Young Lady's Heart" is Elisabeths and Brenna is " Spunky Spot". There blogs are still under construction but they will be finished soon!

My First French Lesson

Last Sunday, Pastor Roy was talking to my parents about teaching Sunday school classes sometime. Madame Roy is having all the kids in the kids class to teach a lesson for the Sunday school class. ( I am in my own class with my Dad. My Dad is teaching the teens, and I am the only student.) Pastor Roy then asked me to teach the adult Sunday school class in April, and in French! So, today I went over the lesson I am going to teach. I am going to teach on living a victorious Christian life. I am very nervous!

Finished Model

I finished my model yesterday. It looks great! I hung it up from the ceiling in my room. (Silas loves to point at it!) I really like the yellow tail. On the other side of the tail it has the it has a eagle instead of this octupus. ( The octupus looks weird I thought.)

This is how it looks hanging from my ceiling.
I think it looks great in my room. The next model I start will be another airplane. I can't wait to start my next model!

My Model Airplane

Recently, I started an airplane model. I have enjoyed it so much! The type of plane is a F-106 Falcon. I have all been painting it in the colors the instructio manual tells me.It has been going pretty good so far and it's almost finished! Now I would like to give you a short tour of my model:
This is the missle bay, where the missles are located. The red, white, and green missles are Falcon missles and the white missle is called a Genie missle. The green doors that are sticking up is the doors for the wheels.
This is where I work on my model. My bed is next to it and I sit on my bed to do the model. I started my model a week ago. I didn't start my model earlier because I didn't have any modeling paint. When my Mom came back from Florida, she had some paints for me!

This is the missle bay and the rest of that area. At the front of the plane you'll see another opening, that is for the front wheel.

I have enjoyed my model and can't wait to see the finished product!

A Short French Lesson

French has been going very well, since we have started back up from Christmas break. Christmas went well and we had a wonderful Christmas. I am now starting to understand French a little more. I just learned 2 new verbs: chanter-means to sing and then I learned venir-means to come. I am starting to enjoy learning new things in French. For homework we had to write some math problems in words. Like this:
24 - 14 = 10
vingt-quatre moins quatorze egal dix

Also for homework we had to write short sentences using partitives:

Je mange du boeuf.
I eat some beef.

The partitive in this sentence would be "du". I used "du" because the word "boeuf" is masculine. For feminine I would have used " de la". For a plural word, masculine or feminine I would have used "des". For a word starting with a vowel or a "h"(the "h" is silent in all French words) I would use "de l'".
I know it can be confusing but once you learn all of the different forms and the exceptions it's pretty simple.

Please pray for me and my sisters as we go to French class at 6:00 tommorow night. We need to learn it quickly so we can hurry and leave for St. Barths.
