Deputation through my Eyes.

My parents have always tried to make things fun for me and my sisters, in the ministry. We have always done fun things in the ministry. My parents taught me that Jesus isn't a burden you always have to carry, but a joy to have with you. Just because you are a Christian doesn't mean you can't have fun. My parents made deputation fun for our family. We went to Washington D.C. and were able to see all of the famous memorials at our nation's capital. We walked New York City and saw Ground Zero, the Statue of Liberty, and visited China town. We have gone to amusment parks and cool campgrounds. We have gone to many historic cities, memorials, and buildings, such as the Hermitage, Andrew Jacksons's home. We have been to many, many states in this country. Deputation was fun! But even though you make things fun some things will still be hard. Here I have listed three things that were hard for me, on deputation, and the things that helped me through it:
1. Leaving family or friends you meet. Leaving friends that you have just met is very, very hard for kids on deputation.- something that helped this was Pen Pals. Pen Palling makes you feel like your friends still remember you. Another thing that helped was making new friends. Making new friends, sort of, "takes the place" of the old friend you left behind.
2. The second thing that was hard for me was Loneliness. Sometimes on deputation you feel like you are the only one trying to raise support to go to the mission field( Even though there are many, many missionaries trying to raise support).- the thing that helped me through this was meeting other missionaries with kids and talking about what is tuff for them and what they do to help them through that hard thing.
3. The third thing that was hard for me was Going to different churches. Going to different churches you become very shy. It is hard for kids to talk to people they have never seen before -the thing that helps me through this was People being kind to you and making you feel like you are at your home church. When you are more relaxed you get out of your shyness "shell".
These are not the only things that were hard for me, these are just the three I put into this post. Christianity is fun but it is up to you to have fun in Christianity. Don't always look on the hard things but look on the fun things.
