Books

I have been into reading for the past couple of weeks. I would read anything I could get my hands on. The Roy's have been letting us borrow books from them and I have enjoyed reading new books. I have also found some books in our bookcase that I haven't read before. These are some books that I recommend reading:

A Young Man after God's own Heart by Jim George
This book talks about turning your life into an extreme adventure thru becoming a man after God's own heart. It was really good and it helped me to grow spiritually. It has helped me develop a better Bible reading and prayer time, in the morning. Unfortunately, he did not use the King James Bible, the true word of God, in some sections of this book . For those times I skipped the verse, looked at the reference of the verse, and read the verse out of my King James Bible.

John Bunyan by William Deal

This book was an great book! It is the biography of John Bunyan , author of the Pilgrim's Progress. John Bunyan was put into to jail for twelve years for preaching the Gospel of Christ. John Bunyan wrote many other books which are hard to find today. I have been looking for a book called Grace Abounding to the Chief of Sinners by John Bunyan. If any one knows where I might get this book please tell me. John Bunyan was a man of great faith and we can all learn a lesson from him.

William Tyndale by Lori Rich
This is a very good book that I especially recommend. It is the biography of William Tyndale(Most of you could have probally guessed that :) I have enjoyed this book thoroughly. Tyndale was persecuted and later executed for translating the Bible into English. Tyndale's goal was to get the Bible , in English , to the King and all the way down to the boy ploghing in the field. This man made a stand for Christ and later was killed for it. It takes a brave man to stand for Christ even though he might get persecuted.

The Search for the Silver Eagle by Ed Dunlop
This book is about two kids , Hans and Gretchen and their father , on the run from the German Gestapo. Hans and Gretchen Kaltenbrunner soon change their names to Hans and Gretchen Von Elder. They soon find themselves on a race against the Germans to find the pilot that was shot down in his plane. As they try to save the pilots physical life , they also try to save his spiritual life as well. This is a book that I have read several times and love it more each time.

If any of you are able to get your hands on any of these books , I recommend that you get them. They are great books and I hope some of you will be able to read them.
