Learning French

Every Wensday and Sunday night , me and my sisters go to a classroom , in the back of the church , to learn French with the Lalonds. The Lalonds are missionarys to hurting or just starting churches in Canada. The Lalonds have a son named Joeseph , many of you have seen a picture of him with me in one of my older posts. They also have a daughter , that is 24 , that lives with them here in Quebec , her name is Kendra. The Lalonds are really helping me and the girls learn to understand French. The French lessons have helped me and the girls learn 4 different verbs and and all sorts of different objects. The 4 verbs are ,
1. Etre , it means , to be.
2. Avoir , it means , to have.
3. Faire , it means , to do or to make.
4. Aller , it means , to go.
Not only did we learn just the meanings of the verb , but to conjugate the verbs. Here are some examples , For Etre to say , I am , you have to say , je suis . For Avoir to say , I have , you say , J'ai . For Faire to say , I do , you say , je fais . For Aller to say , I go , you say , je vais . Those are some examples of conjugating verbs. All conjugations are different for every single verb. Examples for different objects are , a glove is called un gant , a ball blown up with air is called un ballon , and a ball that is not blown up with air is called un balle. Those are examples of what we have learned on church nights. I cant wait to see what we will learn next week!
