Bowling in a Ring?

Today the girls and I had our first marble tournament! Me and the girls each have a set of marbles and we decided that we would have marble tournament.(We do not play for keeps just for fun). Beth has a set of Orange and Black striped marbles and a set of Green and Orange striped marbles with two shooters. Brenna bought a set of Black and Tan striped marbles , yesterday at DollarRama.(DollorRama is our local Dollar store , almost everything is a dollar except for their candy bars ,........there 65 cents).I have a set of old fashineed, one-of-a-kind, clay marbles, that my Grandma bought me when I was collecting marbles. Thanks Grandma!!! I also have one marble made of the stone , Agate , in the olden days these prized marbles were called, Aggies. We played three different games , Poison Ring , Potsie , and my favorite , Forts. In the first game Brenna won 8 marbles, 3 of my clay marbles including my Aggie , 3 of Beth's, and a couple of her own. I won 5 marbles , 3 of my clay marbles , one of Brenna's marbles , and one of Beth's. Beth won 2 marbles, my Blue clay marble and one of her own. In the second game , Beth's favorite , Brenna won 5 marbles , 2 of her own and 3 of Beth's. I won 7 marbles , 2 of Brenna's , 4 of my own , and 1 of Beth's. Beth won 3 marbles , 1 of mine , 1 of Brenna's , and 1 of her own. In the third game , Forts , the way you play is you have several rings inside of each other. Each ring has a initial on the insde of the ring the middle ring is called the pot. The objective is to hit the marbles out of the ring or into the pot to win the marbles. If your shooter gets stuck in one of the opponents rings the opponent takes the shooter marble and puts it into their winner bag. The way you get your shooter back is to pay the opponent the marble they choose. In this game all Brenna lost all of her marbles , even the Aggie , except for her own marbles paying tribute to Beth. I lost 5 of my best colored clay marbles and 2 of Beth's marbles paying Beth in this game. Beth got a total of 11 marbles in this game. I can't wait till our next marble game................so I can win my marbles back.

I remember playing marbles when I was a young girl in elementary school. My brother Ron was a champ at marbles. We would play outside in the dirt and make a circle with a stick. Have fun. Love, Grandma
